Dr. Rachel Bailey combines careful listening, respect, collaboration, complete and thorough consultation with focus on your needs, with the following techniques and more:
Activator Method, as described on the official Activator Methods website, "is one of the most widely-researched chiropractic techniques and the only instrument adjusting technique with clinical trials to support its efficacy."
Applied Kinesiology utilizes our nervous system and kinesiology to evaluate structural, chemical, and mental aspects of health. The combined terms 'applied' and 'kinesiology' describe the basis of this system, which is the use of manual muscle testing to evaluate body function through the dynamics of the musculoskeletal system. Treatments may involve specific joint manipulation or mobilization, various myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, meridian and pressure points, clinical nutrition, dietary changes, reflex procedures, or evaluating the environmental irritants.
Body Response
Client Education Educating clients and the community helps individuals maintain and improve their health at home, at work, and in between appointments.
Diversified Technique has evolved into a system of analysis and means of precisely adjusting the skeletal system of the body.
Drop Table technique makes use of specialized drop-piece mechanisms in the table to assist the adjustment. Individual cushions or "drop pieces" located along the table support each area of the spine until a slight but quick and direct amount of pressure is given. Then, the drop-piece gently gives way, reducing the pressure needed to move a specific spinal segment.
Examination Dr. Bailey uses frequent and focused orthopedic and neurological based examinations to evaluate the immediate effectiveness of each treatment, and change or enhance the course of the treatment based on your progress.
Flexion-Distraction technique is available through the use of a specialized table that allows the patient to be gently stretched in certain vectors, including along the coronal or sagittal planes, or in a rotational pattern.
Meridian Tapping
Myofascial Release
Muscle Activation
NET (Neuro Emotional Technique) finds and removes neurological imbalances related to the physiology of unresolved stress. "NET is a tool that can help improve many behavioral and physical conditions."
Nutritional Supplementation Essential nutrients are vital to your health and function!
Trigger Point Therapy is used to reduce the pain that results from hypersensitive muscles. Trigger points are identified by gently pressing on the surface of the skin, sensing
the texture of the underlying muscle. A trigger point is like a knot the size of a pea, buried deep in the muscle tissue. It is made up of lactic acid, a normal byproduct of muscular activity, which
sometimes gets trapped in the muscle from physical, chemical or emotional stress.
Therapies Exercises and other modalities for strengthening weak muscles, re-educating the nerve-muscle pattern, stimulating a particular area of the nervous system through proprioception and muscle activation, and minimizing the erosive wear on bodily tissues through balancing the protagonistic and antagonistic muscular function crossing specific joints.
