A bit of paperwork

You will need to fill out forms that provide general information about you and your condition.

Consultation
During your first consultation with the doctor, you'll discuss any health-related issues and concerns. You will also learn about potential treatment options.

History and examination
In order to pinpoint the problem, the doctor will ask you a number of questions related to your condition and your previous health history. A variety of targeted tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.

Imaging
Your specific condition may require x-rays or other diagnostic imaging to either rule out certain conditions or assist us in assessing the most effective treatment plan for you.

Same-day treatment
Patients will generally undergo their first treatment on their first visit after their examination is completed. This may include spinal adjustments, applied kinesiology, flexion-distraction, or myofascial release techniques.

Home instructions
Before leaving, you will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat applications or avoidance of certain activities or positions.

Scheduling the next appointment

Depending on each patient's condition, regular treatment may be essential to the process.  Treatment options for your condition will be discussed during your first visit.
